These are the terms every T-Bear rental and service job runs on. They cover the deposit, damage, late returns, cancellations, and who is responsible for what. Read them before you send a request — checking the box on the request form means you agree to them.
You must be 18 or older, present a valid government-issued photo ID, and provide a working phone number T-Bear can reach you on during the rental.
The person named on the agreement is responsible for the equipment for the whole rental period, whether or not they are the one operating it. Do not hand a machine to anyone you would not vouch for.
02
Rental periods and rates
A rental period starts when the equipment leaves the yard or is delivered, and ends when it is back in T-Bear's possession — not when you finish using it.
Day: 24 hours from pickup or delivery.
Weekend: Saturday morning through Monday morning, charged as one period.
Week: seven consecutive days.
Longer than a week is quoted per job — call and ask.
03
Deposit
A refundable deposit is held for every rental. The amount depends on the machine and is quoted on the confirmation call.
The deposit is returned in full once the equipment is back, undamaged, fueled, and reasonably clean. If there is a charge against it, T-Bear tells you what it is and why before it comes out.
04
Payment
Nothing is charged when you submit a request. Payment is taken at pickup or delivery, once you and T-Bear have agreed on the dates and the total.
Rates quoted on the phone or on the site are the rates you pay. A longer rental, a second machine, or delivery outside the usual area changes the total, and T-Bear will say so before the job starts.
05
Condition and fair use
Equipment goes out in working order, fueled, and inspected. Look it over before you take it — if something is wrong, say so at pickup and it gets swapped or fixed.
Use the machine for what it was built for, follow the operating instructions, and keep it out of the hands of anyone who has not been shown how to run it. Modifying a machine, removing a guard, or defeating a safety cut-off ends the rental immediately.
06
Fuel and cleaning
Gas equipment goes out full and comes back full. If it comes back short, fuel is charged at cost plus a small handling fee.
Normal dirt is expected and is not charged for. Concrete, roofing tar, paint, or a machine that needs stripping before it can go out again is charged as a cleaning fee, quoted from the actual work.
07
Damage, loss, and theft
You are responsible for the equipment from the moment it leaves T-Bear's possession until it is back.
Ordinary wear — dull blades, worn belts, a scuffed housing — is T-Bear's cost, not yours. Damage from misuse, an accident, running a machine dry, or leaving it out in the weather is charged at the cost of the repair.
If a machine is stolen or lost, call T-Bear the same day and file a police report. You are responsible for the replacement value until it is recovered.
08
Late returns
Bring it back on time — the next customer is usually waiting on it. If you are running behind, call before the due time and T-Bear will work with you when the calendar allows.
A return past the due time without a call is charged as another full rental period. Equipment kept more than seven days past due, with no contact, is treated as unreturned.
09
Cancellations and no-shows
Cancel any time before pickup at no cost — a phone call is enough. Because nothing is charged up front, there is no cancellation fee on rentals.
A delivery already loaded or on the road when you cancel is charged the delivery fee. A confirmed pickup you do not show up for and do not call about may cost you priority on the calendar next time.
10
Delivery and pickup
Delivery is available on most equipment for a flat fee inside the usual service area, quoted on the confirmation call. Someone 18 or older must be on site to receive the machine.
The drop point has to be reachable by truck and trailer, and clear enough to unload safely. If T-Bear arrives and the site is blocked or nobody is there, the delivery fee still applies.
11
Safe use and liability
These machines are dangerous when used carelessly. Wear the right protection, read the safety decals, keep bystanders and children clear, and stop if something does not sound or feel right.
T-Bear is not responsible for injury, property damage, or loss caused by the operation of rented equipment, or for work you complete or fail to complete with it. Locating buried utilities before you dig, trench, or drive stakes is your responsibility.
12
Lawn and pressure washing jobs
Service work is quoted after T-Bear has looked at the property and talked it through with you. The quote covers the surfaces or areas listed on the call, and nothing else.
Have the area clear and accessible on the scheduled day: gates unlocked, vehicles moved, furniture and toys off the surface. If a crew cannot get to the work, the visit may be rescheduled.
Pressure washing can expose damage that was already there — failing paint, soft wood, loose mortar, worn sealant. Flag anything delicate before the job starts. T-Bear is not responsible for pre-existing damage revealed by cleaning.
13
Changes to these terms
T-Bear may update these terms. The version in force for your rental is the one posted when you submitted your request, and the effective date at the top of this page tells you which that is.
Questions before you sign
Call and ask. Anything in here can be explained in plainer words on the phone, and any figure that does not fit your job — a longer rental, a bigger deposit, a delivery outside the usual area — is worth asking about before you send a request.
